Our Philosophy:

The Floral Crest School  is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a spiritually oriented education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to: ..I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Ephesians 4:1

  • develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men.
  • master the basic academic skills
  • value labor, physical and mental, as the
  • blessing God intended
  • cultivate physical fitness, mental ability, and moral purity as the blessing God intended.

The Floral Crest School is operated in harmony with the guidance and direction of the Office of Education, North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. To learn more go to www.adventistedge.org

Students in Adventist schools...

In a three-year study of 51,000+ students in Adventist schools (kindergarten through high school), researchers documented that they outperformed the national average.  At all grade levels. In schools of all sizes. And in all subjects.

Additionally, researchers compared student performance on standardized tests with what would be predicted based on their Cognitive Abilities Test scores, and found they performed above what would be predicted.

...Gain more with time.

One of the most dramatic findings is that students who transferred to Adventist schools saw a marked improvement in test scores. Furthermore, the longer students are in Adventist schools, the better their achievements and abilities.

    Partners For Eternity Program:

Floral Crest School in partnership with Southern Adventist University’s PFE grant program, has the opportunity to offer unique tuition assistance to our students. Through this service-oriented scholarship program, our participating students are paired with elderly adults in our community in a mutually-beneficial way.

Students in the PFE program, along with their parents, bring joy to the lives of senior citizens through fun activities such as visiting, reading, and playing games. When appropriate, they may also provide light housework. As the young people build generational bridges and learn the value of service, they also benefit from the wisdom and mentorship of the older adults. In the process, their time together helps finance the student’s Christian education.
